Item type:Publication, The National Bibliography Number Italia (NBN:IT) Project. A persistent identifier supporting national legal deposit(2013-01-01)The association of a Persistent Identifier to a digital resource is a best practice helping in solving a reliable information resources retrieving on the web. At the present moment, different kind of technologies and standards such as DOI, Handle are establishing. However, within scientific and cultural communities, the main need is still focused on ensuring resources authenticity, provenance, and preservation in the long term period. For this reason, a third authoritative party such as the National Library is necessary, managing identifiers and process requirements for preservation aims. The NationalBibliographyNumber originated in the context of the role and the responsibilities of national libraries in the field of universal bibliographic control, oriented to the identification of resources to be preserved in the long period. In Italy NBN:IT is going to be linked to the legal deposit, and activity traditionally up to the national libraries guaranteeing its trustability. The project, coordinated by the national libraries of Florence, Rome, and Venice, by the Foundation Rinascimento Digitale and by the Conference of Rectors of the Italian Universities, completes the current offer of PI. Today we have assigned almost 10.000 NBN:IT. Plugins for the main repository software as DSpace, Eprints, Ojs were released. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The EOSC DIH "ELD Advance" project(Zenodo, 2022); ; ; Giamminonni, LucaThe poster will provide an overview of the ELD ADVANCE project supported by the European Open Science Cloud Digital Innovation HUB (EOSC DIH). In spring 2021, as part of the OpenAIRE ELD project 4Science released two new services: the Data Correction (based on the OpenAIRE Notification Broker), to enrich repository data by exploiting the vast amount of information made available by OpenAIRE, and the Publication Claim (based on the OpenAIRE Graph), to ensure that the repository stays up to date by automatically discovering new content produced by the institution’s researchers in the OpenAIRE Graph, thus reducing the manual input from researchers. This new project aims to achieve full impact extending these services to plain DSpace repositories making them available out-of-box in the latest releases of DSpace as it was already done in DSpace-CRIS. Moreover, additional technical improvements will be introduced to streamline the adoption and set the basis for future extensions of the services. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The main topic of this call was on the results from the "Enrich Local Data via the OpenAIRE Graph" Project: Bring Innovation to DSpace. Specifically it was about the integration of the Broker service in DSpace CRIS and DSpace7, developed by 4Science as a result of the Open Innovation Call promoted by OpenAIRE. Was also presented an overview about the Broker service API. Item type:Publication, Regional Research Portal UnityFVG: an OpenScience portal(2018); ; ; Romano TrampusThe three Universities decided to provide a single point of access to their institutional outputs under a new Regional Research Portal called: “UnityFVG - Ricerca Friuli Venezia Giulia”. The Portal will be a web gateway for searching and spreading the research data created by the SISSA, University of Trieste and University of Udine. The portal is also an open access repository that allows access without restrictions to the results of the activities financed by public funds. The UnityFVG Research Portal is based on DSpace-CRIS solution and use the CERIF-XML over OAI-PMH format for harvesting the main entities (People, Organizations, Publications) from the Institutional Repositories (IRIS based) of the member Institutions. Technical support was provided for the first pilot installation by Cineca, the Consortium of Italian Universities where DSpace-CRIS was adopted after the merge with Cilea. After the first year of test and pilot installation, the Regional Research Portal went definitively in production and registered online in the Open Access Week 2017 as http://research.unityfvg.it/. Item type:Publication, New functionalities of the euroCRIS' DSpace-CRIS Repository(2016)The euroCRIS' Repository is based on a DSpace-CRIS installation to support the collection and management of different contents related to the Organisation's activities. The project has started in 2015 mainly focusing on the papers and presentations submitted by euroCRIS' Members for the events but always managing the publications information in a proper CERIF way with people, events and orgunits interlinked to provide rich information. All the past contributions have been added to the system and linked to the different authors, providing also the opportunity to link the Repository to the authors' ORCID profiles.12 16 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, DSpace-CRIS@HKU: Achieving Visibility with a CERIF Compliant Open Source System(2014-07-02); ; Abstract The CRIS now at the University of Hong Kong, “HKU Scholars Hub” (the Hub), began as a means to provide visibility to HKU research, people, and their expertise. It now also acts as a tool for management, evaluation and visualization of HKU research.
