    4Science Academy: Interoperability, relationships and digital ecosystems between cultural heritage & scientific research
    The digital transformation affecting our age requires that Digital Libraries and Research Information Systems, from being collection management systems, become digital ecosystems in which different documents can be explored along with all the information useful to define their context. Key elements in structuring such architectures are interoperability, in its various meanings and relationships, to be modeled within the ecosystem. Interoperability and relationships are the pillars on which 4Science has always built its applications based on DSpace, the world's most widely used open-source Digital Asset Management System for managing digital cultural heritage and research products and data. The webinar provides an opportunity to present 4Science's most recent projects, consistent with international standards and guidelines for culture and research digital ecosystems.

    4Science at the Praxistreffen conference the German DSpace User Group, on March 27-28 in Bamberg, Germany. Every year, we have the excellent opportunity to be part of this event and share many great ideas for the future of DSpace and the next steps the community needs to take. During the conference, there was also a beneficial and productive panel session about the possible merger between DSpace and DSpace-CRIS.
